Funka, speaking at a seminar on accessibility in Oslo in June, shed some the light on what criteria is used to evaluate levels of accessibility and showed how users are affected by new regulations.

The Norwegian Computer Society, NCS, or Dataforeningen in Norwegian, organized the daylong event. Dataforeningen, is the largest special interest society for information technology in the country.

Other speakers talked about WCAG 2.0, Norwegian laws on discrimination and the importance of comprehensive writing.

At the end of the day, participants concluded that a lot remains to be done when it comes to accessibility in Norway.
