Startup meetings have been held in Brussels for phase two (Mandate 376) of the EU Commission’s work to develop common standards for accessibility in public procurement procedures.

Three standardization bodies have been assigned the task of finding standards by 2013.

“Gradually we are moving towards common standards that can be the basis for legislation and that may actually bring about real change,” Susanna Laurin, Managing Director of Funka, wrote in a report from the meetings.
